CARIBOU — The Maine Veterans’ Home in Caribou recently completed its second year of continuous customer satisfaction surveys and in every six-month comparison the facility has received numerous Best In Class awards from Pinnacle Quality Insight. Pinnacle, a nationally recognized firm, provides phone-based interviews to measure long-term care customer satisfaction to over 1,100 health care providers and recognizes those facilities that consistently score high.
Beginning in February of 2010, MVH-Caribou has been awarded with biannual recognition from Pinnacle in numerous areas of evaluation from interview responses, including overall quality of stay, facility cleanliness, recommend facility to others, meeting individual needs, and nursing care.
“While it is nice to be recognized with these accolades, Pinnacle is also a great tool for MVH to use to constantly improve our services based on customer feedback,” said Melissa Graham, MVH-Caribou administrator. “Even though we may be the Best In Class in all these different categories, there is always room for us to improve and I value all the feedback I receive.”
Pinnacle’s Best In Class awards are provided to facilities that maintain a 12-month average in the top 10 percent in any of Pinnacle’s customer satisfaction categories.
“The Best In Class rating was determined by comparing Maine Veterans’ Home in Caribou in each service area to similar care providers across the country,” said Stan Magleby, Pinnacle CEO. “Pinnacle congratulates the staff of MVH for achieving excellence in care.”
“We have received Pinnacle’s Best In Class standings 45 times in two years and that certainly reflects what a great team we have providing the best possible care for our residents and their families,” said Graham. “It goes without saying that I am proud to lead such a great staff that’s caring for Maine’s heroes,” she added.
