Caribou gained a big win last week dropping MDI on the road by a 2-1 score.
Coach Scott Hunter said the team was starting to pick up a little momentum, but heavy rains in Bangor on Saturday kept the Vikings from testing their momentum when their game with John Bapst was postponed.

Fort Fairfield’s Jake Wortman and Limestone’s Curtis Pahel go shoulder-to-shoulder in a recent match in Fort Fairfield. The game ended in a 1-1 tie.
Caribou is currently No. 14 in Eastern Maine Class B soccer. Presque Isle is ranked fourth.
In Class D, Central Aroostook, Easton and Washburn are ranked two through four respectively, all chasing Bangor Christian.
Washburn is playing a makeup game today at 3 p.m. against Wisdom in St. Agatha.

Presque Isle 9, Washington Academy 1 — Under less than ideal weather conditions Saturday at the Gerhrig T. Johnson Athletic Complex in Presque Isle, the Wildcats dominated Washington Academy of East Machias, registering a 9-1 win.
Isaac LaJoie had the hat trick scoring three goals and Jake Player had five assists for 8-0-1 Presque Isle. Wilder York, Colin McKay, Ben Nickerson, Michael Guerrette, Sam Clukey and Tyler Seeley each scored a goal. Andrew Kofstad and Cody Lyford combined for three saves on six shots.
Caribou 2, MDI 1 —At Bar Harbor Wednesday, Matt Millard scored with 1:30 to play, lifting the Vikings to a 1-0 victory over the MDI Trojans.
Coach Scott Hunter said this was a big win for his young squad.
“We stayed focused for the entire game, it was definitely a team win,” said Hunter. “I think this helps with the kids’ confidence and is a win we can build off.”
Hunter also praised the defense of Cody Hebert, who marked MDI’s top scorer, and Dean Walker’s play from his midfielders position.
Chad Caverhill scored on a first-half direct kick for 2-7 Caribou. Matt Manter made four saves on eight shots.
The Vikings’ game against John Bapst, scheduled for last Saturday, was postponed due to heavy rain in the Bangor area. It will now be played on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m.
Presque Isle 1, John Bapst 1 — At Bangor Wednesday, Ricky Jones scored a goal to tie the game with 18 seconds remaining in regulation as the John Bapst Crusaders and the Presque isle Wildcats played to a 1-1 draw.
Jones buried the rebound off of a long ball played into the box that deflected off of the goalie and onto Jones foot.
The Wildcats scored first as Jacob Player got free from the defense and blasted a shot from the 30-yard mark that landed in the back of the net.
Andrew Kofstad made nine saves on 16 shots for 7-0-1 Presque Isle.

Fort Fairfield 1, LCS/MSSM 1 — At Fort Fairfield Sept. 27, Derek Dufour scored on a penalty kick 15 minutes into the second half, helping the Tigers earn a double-overtime tie against the Eagles.
Chris Weeks made five saves on nine shots for 2-7-1 Fort Fairfield.
Tristan Kirk scored an unassisted first-half goal for 1-8-2 Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics. Dylan Nadeau logged 10 saves on 21 shots.
