Fall outings for adults and seniors

There are some outings coming up geared towards adults and seniors. A flyer with a full list of trips is available at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center.

For those ages 18-55, a guided day hiking trip to Deboullie is planned for Oct. 22.

For those 55 and older, a guided sightseeing trip to Kings Landing is scheduled for Oct. 4. A guided sightseeing tour of Goughan Farms in Caribou, plus fishing, is set for Oct. 6.

Volunteers sought

The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to assist with the annual Halloween Party slated for Monday, Oct. 31. Individuals, businesses and organizations interested in providing a game or activity during the two-hour event are asked to contact the recreation office at 493-4224.

Soccer schedule

The schedule for Sept. 28 in the grades 3-4 soccer league will see the Fire and the Rapids do battle at 6 p.m., followed by the Metrostars against the Revolution at 7 p.m. The games will be played at the Teague Park soccer field. Awards night is set for Oct. 3 at the wellness and recreation center beginning at 6:30 p.m.

In grades 5-6 action Sept. 28, Manchester U and Chelsea meet at 6 p.m. and Arsenal plays Chelsea at 7 p.m. A round-robin tourney is planned for Saturday, Oct. 1. These matches will take place at the Soucie Sports Complex. The end-of-season awards ceremony will be held Oct. 5 at the wellness and recreation center beginning at 6:30 p.m.
