WOODLAND – Stephen J. Thomas, 51, died unexpectedly July 26, 2011, at Caribou. He was born at Caribou January 3, 1960, the son of the late Wesley and Dora (Burby) Thomas.
Stephen was a 1978 graduate of Caribou High School and later received a degree from Northern Maine Technical College in carpentry. He was employed by Powers Roofing for a number of years. He also was a self-employed general contractor and owned and operated Northern Pine Cleaning Service.
He is survived by one brother, William “Bill” Thomas of Woodland; one sister, Virginia “Ginny” Donovan of Woodland; one aunt, Ginny Harmon of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Natalie Thomas and three brothers, Albert, Galen and Paul Thomas.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, Friday, July 29, 2011 from 6-8 pm. Private family funeral services will be held at a later date.
