WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Susan Collins recently welcomed Senate page Marc Sturzl of Caribou to her Washington, D.C. office. Sturzl, a student at Caribou High School, is a Senate Page for the second summer session and is sponsored by Sen. Collins.
“It is my pleasure to sponsor Marc as a U.S. Senate Page,” stated Sen. Collins. “The Senate Page Program is an excellent opportunity for students in their junior year of high school to receive first-hand experience with the legislative branch of our government. It is a challenging, and rewarding opportunity for mature, hard-working students, and I am confident that Marc will benefit from this unique experience.”
The U.S. Senate Page Program allows qualified high school juniors the unique opportunity to work in the U.S. Capitol and assist U.S. senators while conducting their business on the Senate floor. Pages work until the Senate adjourns daily, so candidates need to be self-motivated with excellent academic records.
