Community support makes Project Graduation a success

To the editor:

The 2011 graduates of Caribou High School recently participated in Project Graduation.  They were bussed to South Portland for a day and a half of Indoor Go Karting and Fun Town adventures.

The committee for project graduation met in early September, 2010 to start planning for this event.  We met on a regular basis asking for donations from our local community so we could provide these students one last chance to be together as a class and in a  chemical free environment.

The committee wishes to thank all the local businesses for their generous donations of prizes we used for our “Mega Raffle” and auction, and/or donation of money for the trip.  We want to extend our thanks to friends and family of these graduates for their willingness to help at a dinner or simply buy tickets to the fundraisers we created such as the “Mega Raffle”, selling food at the Radar Run sled races, spaghetti dinner and auction, Bingo and bean supper.

Thanks to your gifts of money, we raised $25,000 for our graduates and the trip was a success!
