CARIBOU – The Caribou School Department will offer a number of summer sports camps, with the focus being to develop fundamental skills and play competitively.
The basketball camps are staffed by coaches Chris Casavant, Bill Casavant, Ryan Deprey and Shawn Manter. The high school boys camp is June 13-July 1 from 6-8:30 p.m. and the high school girls camp will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. June 27-July 27.
A co-ed basketball camp will take place Aug. 22-26 from 4:30-6 p.m. for grades 3-5 and from 6-7:30 p.m. for grades 6-8.
Soccer camps will be under the direction of coaches Todd Albert, Scott Hunter, Andrew Kirby and Keegan Wakana.
Grades 6-9 girls and boys will have their camp June 13-17 from 10 a.m.-noon. High school girls camp begins June 14 and will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. High school boys camp begins June 19 and will be held from 6-8 p.m. on the following days: June 19, 22 and 27 and July 2, 6, 10, 13, 18, 20 and 24.
Another soccer camp for grades 1-6 will take place Aug. 8-12 from 9-10:30 a.m.
James “Chico” Hernandez will lead a wrestling camp at Caribou Middle School during the week of June 20-24. Grades 5-8 will go from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and grades 9-12 from 6-8 p.m.
Brittany Bigger will direct a cheering camp taking place at the Caribou Learning Center. Grades K-2 will meet from 8-11 a.m. and grades 3-5 from noon-3 p.m.
The staff at County Physical Therapy will offer a conditioning camp at CHS from June 20-July 8 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7-8 a.m. The focus is core conditioning, with an emphasis on balance, agility and overall core strengthening.
