Woodland Tigers 15, North Stars 12

The two teams went back and forth before the Tigers scored four times in the bottom of the fifth to take the lead for good.

Two walks, doubles by Brandon Manter and Liza Durette and singles by Adrianna Bither and Megan Thornton keyed the winning rally.

The North Stars scored five times in the second to grab the early lead. A triple off the bat of Josh Quist and singles by Kendra Furber and Noah Hixon were the key hits.

Carson Doody, Garrison Doody, Bither and Thornton combined on the pitching duties for the Tigers and had seven strikeouts.

The North Stars’ Austin Findlen, Alex Bouchard and Quist handled the mound work and the trio logged 10 strikeouts.

Key Bank 10, Sleepers 5

The Bankers doubled up on Sleepers in a game pitting the American Division rivals.

Austin Scott had two hits, including a bases-clearing triple in the fourth inning that just missed clearing the center field fence, to lead Key Bank.

Noah Frost, Nick Pelletier and Scott combined on the four-hitter.

Alec Cyr, Mason Huck, Camden Huck and Stewart Curtis had a hit apiece for the defending Caribou Little League champions.

K of C 19, Woodland Tigers 7

The Knights topped the Tigers, 19-7, with Gabe Rand, Jo Jo Fields and Connor Plourde pacing the winning offense with three hits apiece. Nic Sleeper added a pair of hits.

Plourde pitched four strong innings, while Colby Bonville and Hunter Lindsey made their pitching debuts in relief for K of C.

For the Tigers, Carson Doody, Mollie Cummings, Liza Durette and Garrison Doody all had hits.

Savings Bank of Maine 13, Shop ’n Save 8

SBM out-hit Shop ’n Save by a 10-1 margin, but had to sweat out a late charge by the home team.

Shop ’n Save was being shut out before scoring eight times in the bottom of the sixth to make it interesting.

Caleb Willett, who started on the mound but had to leave the game with an arm injury, had two doubles to lead SBM, while Ben Ezzy had the lone hit for Shop ’n Save.

K of C 17, Key Bank 9

The K of C offense thrived behind Gabe Rand’s double and two singles, as well as hits off the bats of Nic Sleeper, Jo Jo Fields, Connor Plourde and Hunter Lindsey.

Rand was the winning pitcher, going four strong innings.

Austin Scott had three hits for Key Bank.

K of C 6, Shop ’n Save 3

The Knights won the Tag Day showdown in come-from-behind fashion. Good pitching and excellent defense was the theme of the game for both squads.

Jo Jo Fields and Kyle Soetart-Beaulier had two hits each and Nic Sleeper tripled to pace K of C’s attack.

Ben Ezzy had an inside-the-park home run and a single, while Kerrigan Manter also had two hits for Shop ’n Save.

Key Bank 19, North Stars 0

Austin Scott and Nick Pelletier led the 16-hit attack with five and four, respectively, as Key won with ease.

Noah Frost and Pelletier combined to strike out 11 batters and held the North Stars without a hit.

Devon Chamberlain, Josh Quist and Noah Hixon handled the pitching duties for the North Stars.

K of C 23, Woodland Tigers 12

Kyle Soetart-Beaulier’s grand slam home run was the key blow in the Knights’ victory over the Tigers.

Marcus Carter made a fine defensive play for the victors.

Carter Moir and Brandon Manter combined for six hits to lead the Woodland squad on offense.

Key Bank 10, VFW 9

Key Bank prevailed in the Tag Day contest by scoring three times in the bottom of the sixth.

Noah Rosado, Nick Pelletier, Austin Scott and Casey McCrossin all had hits during the rally, with McCrossin’s driving in the game-winning run.

Rosado, Scott and McCrossin all finished the game with three hits, with Scott driving in four in the contest.

Jerrod Morrow pitched an outstanding game for VFW, striking out seven in four innings of work and leaving with his team in front. Morrow, Zach Whitten and Darren Hall all had multi-hit games for VFW.
