Lily is an approximately 2-week-old torti female with deformed feet who is residing at a Halfway Home Pet Rescue foster home. Lily started out with syringe feedings until she was declared otherwise healthy to be placed in the pediatric room with a nursing mother. HHPR currently has four nursing mothers and two were willing to provide Lily with a good milk supply. Lily is a very active, happy girl despite her handicap and gets around, over and under all her new siblings especially at feeding time. HHPR will be celebrating a Volunteer Recognition Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, June 11; dinner will be prepared by members of the Caribou Kiwanis Club and women of the United Methodist Church will be making dessert. The Loring Job Corp Honor Guard will perform the impressive Flag Folding Ceremony. HHPR is a 501c3 non-profit and a state licensed animal shelter. Their mailing address is PO Box 488, Caribou and the physical address is 11 Pioneer Ave. Adoption viewing is on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by other special appointment. Please visit their website at www.halfwayhomepetrescue.org or call 492-1722 or e-mail norma@halfwayhomepetrescue.org.
