Greenier, Barbara Ann, 79, of Caribou, at Bangor, on May 13, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., May 18 from the chapel of the funeral home. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.

AR Barbara GreenierCaribou — Barbara Ann Greenier, 79 died May 13, 2011, at Bangor. She was born in Limestone December 15, 1931, the daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Doucette) Bourgoine. Mrs. Greenier was a graduate of Limestone High School and was employed by Potato Service in Presque Isle for many years. She married Vernal Greenier November 21, 1950. Barbara enjoyed many things in life but her family was the most important thing to her. She loved to cook large meals for her family and always had plenty for any unexpected guests. She loved to bake and will always be remembered for her whoopie pies and date squares. In her summer retirement years, many people could expect to see Barbara swinging on her front porch swing, reading a book, doing a puzzle book, or just watching the traffic go by with her husband.

Surviving in addition to her husband of over 60 years, Vernal of Caribou are four sons, Timothy Greenier and his wife, Lynn, Peter Greenier and his wife, Dye, Scott Greenier and special friend, Sue Frost and Danny Greenier and special friend, Susan Pelletier all of Caribou; three daughters, Sheila Belanger and her husband, Gregory of Caribou, Judy Wardwell and her fiancé, Scott Berube of Winsted, Ct and Cathy Preston of Endicott, N.Y.; one brother, Louis Bourgoine of Caribou; one sister, Lorraine Bouchard of St. Petersburg, Fl; ten grandchildren, Garrett Belanger and wife, Heidi, Christopher Belanger and fiancé, Wendy, Keith Gagnon and fiancé Leanda, Jessica Hartley, Dylan and Danielle Greenier, Sarae and Halle Greenier and Linsey and Jakeb Pelletier; six great-grandchildren, Hayley Goudreau, Taylor, Brandon, Skylar, and Peighton Belanger and Devin Wright. Mrs. Greenier was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence and Gregory; two sisters, Blanche Evans and Cynthia Page and a son-in-law, Roger Preston.

Friends visited  with the family 7-9 pm Tuesday, at Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, May 18, 2011 from the chapel of the funeral home with Fr. Jean Paul Labrie, officiating. Following the service all are invited to a time of fellowship and refreshments at the Holy Rosary Parish Center. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.
