Caribou residents are reminded that the city-wide brush removal will take place beginning Monday, May 9 through May 13.

Property owners who have piles of brush they wish to have removed by the city must place it at curbside no later than 7 a.m. on May 9. City workers will make only one pass on any street through the week-long clean-up effort, they will not be returning for a second time for debris that was not in place on their original pass.

There are no changes in specific guidelines for having this brush removed from city properties other than it was decided to transpire one week later than previous years.

Steve Buck, Caribou city manager, cited the reason for having the city-wide cleanup during the coming week is so residential streets and the city in general will be in good order prior to the influx of visitors that historically attend the annual City-Wide Yard Sale, which is scheduled to take place  the weekend of May 21 and 22nd.
