Descendants of the Swedish Colony of Northern Maine met March 7, for their annual New Sweden Day reunion in Auburndale, Florida. The traditional gathering was first celebrated in Titusville, hosted by Helena Ludwig and Rosalind Sodergren during the mid 1970s. Later the festivities were moved to St. Cloud, where they were hosted by Wayne and Becky Lundgren.

For several years now, the fun, food and fellowship have been enjoyed at the home of Ejnar and Diana Adamson in Auburndale, where this year 48 Swedish descendants gathered.
Those attending the annual celebration included: Bob and Gail Anderson, Duane and Joyce Anderson, Francine Anderson, Frances Breard, Carol Carlson, Chester Carlson, Valada Bourgoine Delaney, Gary Dickinson, Karen and John Erickson, Judy Forsman and Arnold and Geri Goranson; Elmer Gunnerson, Warren and Nell Hedstrom, Lois and Ward Ketch, Juanita Knowlton, Becky Lundgren and Almon and Marilyn McDougal.
Also Ted and Elsie Mueller, Bill and Nancy Patterson, Vee and David Peterson, Pauline Wright Palzin, Berniece Randolph, Robert Rebarkoff, Linda and Warren Sharp, John and Eleanor Sodergren, Glen and Vernell Sodergren, Trena and Wendell Spooner, Jean and Chuck Tracy, Barbara Varney and Skip and Cathy Walters.
