The American Red Cross and SUBWAY restaurants of Maine have teamed during April with hopes of making it the most successful blood donation month ever. To help draw donors to Red Cross Donor Centers and blood drives, SUBWAY restaurants are providing anyone who presents to donate blood or platelets a coupon for a free six-inch regular sub.
Coupons will be distributed at the drives or donor centers and are redeemable at any SUBWAY restaurant in Maine during the months of April and May. This is just SUBWAY restaurants’ way of thanking blood donors who support the Red Cross and everyone they help.
“The American Red Cross is delighted to be partnering with SUBWAY restaurants this April,” said Ellen Russell, director of Maine Operations for the American Red Cross Blood Services. “The need for blood is constant and because of the generous support of SUBWAY, the Red Cross will be better able to provide lifesaving blood for patients in need while offering a wonderful thank you to our dedicated donors,” she added.
