Caribou — Peter Longley, 69, went to be with his lord and savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by his loving family on March 21, 2011, at Caribou. He was born in Caribou February 15, 1942, the son of the late Peter and Alice (Theriault) Longley Sr. Mr. Longley was a self employed farmer and potato grower having farmed on the Van Buren Road in Caribou for many years. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Edmundston, N.B. He married Yvette Dube January 2, 1971.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Yvette of Caribou; are his four daughters, Dr. Cindy Bouchard and her husband, Chad, Gina, Denise and Bridget Longley all of Caribou; his two grandsons, Abraham and Benjamin. Mr. Longley was predeceased by a sister, Irene Nadeau.
Friends visited with the family from 2-4 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at the Family Christian Center, Presque Isle. A celebration of Mr. Longley’s life was held at 4 p.m. with Rev. Gail Bellamy, officiating. Arrangements by the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
