Athletes have been named as Aroostook County all-stars for their accomplishments during their sport seasons.
Deion Caudill of the Caribou wrestling team, in control during this regular season match, was named to the All-Aroostook team.
All-Aroostook team sports — soccer, basketball, baseball, softball and tennis — are selected by the coaches, while individual sports — cross country, golf, alpine and Nordic skiing, swimming, wresting and track and field — are selected by criteria established by the Aroostook League.
Athletes are awarded an All-Aroostook certificate.
Named as All-Aroostook selections for the winter season are:
Class B/C boys basketball: Caribou, Chad Caverhill, Stephen St. Peter and Roland Thibodeau; Fort Kent, Jared Soucy; Hodgdon, Josh Hudson; Houlton, Nick Guiod; Madawaska, Matt Deschenes and Deejay Gendreau; and Presque Isle, Travis Dyer, Alex Tuttle and Oliver Zubrick.
Travis Noyes of the Fort Fairfield Tigers garnered All-Aroostook honors based on his success on the basketball court.
Class B/C girls basketball: Caribou, Alex Massey, Dayna Michaud and Jenna Selander; Fort Kent, Samantha Carapellucci; Hodgdon, Mariah Wiley; Houlton, Taylor Bailey, Marina Cameron and Amanda Fogarty; Madawaska, Erin Dugal; and Presque Isle, Chandler Guerrette, Chelsea Nickerson and Kayla Richards.
