CMS announces February Students of the Month

CARIBOU, Maine — Susan White, principal, and staff members at the Caribou Middle School recently announced the CMS Students of the Month for February.

Noah Cousins, a grade-six student was selected as Student of the Month for February by his teachers Mr. John Pelletier and Mrs. Ruth Dionne.

The team teachers stated, “Noah is a quiet young man who is well liked by all of his classmates. He is a very kind and thoughtful individual who is a positive role model to his peers. An honor roll student who tries his best in whatever he undertakes, Noah is extremely polite and respectful to his teachers and other students. A member of the Caribou Middle School wrestling team, during his free time Noah enjoys cross-country skiing and four-wheeling.”

Andrew Tardie was named Student of the Month for February by his sixth-grade teachers, Ms. Sarah LaJoie, Mrs. Cathy Bouchard and Ms. Jen Valentino.

“Andrew has come a long way during the past year,” said the three CMS teachers, “he is a very diligent student with high expectations for himself. He has been an exceptionally good helper and is the ‘go-to guy’ if a teacher needs an errand done or a helping hand. Andrew has also been very empathetic to others and loves to talk and write about his pets.”

Kelsey Kiehn, a members of the CMS seventh grade was selected as Student of the Month by her teachers Mrs. Mary Curtis, Mrs. Kim Barnes, Mrs. Holly Rhinebolt, Ms. Shelly Richardson and Mr. Steve Perreault.

The seventh-grade teachers said, “Always on the high honor roll, Kelsey is an excellent student and is very active in school being involved in chorus, band and show choir. Outside of school she is very active in her church youth group and other church activities. She is also a member of the ‘All About Me’ program, which involves teenage girls and positive activities.”

“Kelsey is one of the most tolerant, kind, compassionate and friendly students here at CMS,” added her teachers, “her enthusiasm lights up her class and makes CMS a better place for all.”

Chelsea Chapman is in the seventh grade and was named Student of the Month for February by her teachers Mrs. Curtis, Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Rhinebolt, Ms. Richardson and Mr. Perreault.

“Chelsea is an excellent student who always gives her best effort in the classroom,” stated the team teachers. “Her teachers appreciate her love of learning and the exemplary behavior that she brings to school.  Chelsea is always kind and respectful to all she meets. She also contributes to our school by participating in the CMS strings program.”

Danielle Greenier was named February’s Student of the Month by eighth-grade teachers Mr. Travis Barnes, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper, Mrs. Jessica Dow, Mr. Troy Barnes and Mr. Ralph Fantasia.

The CMS teachers said, “Danielle is a conscientious student as well as a participant in CMS extra-curricular activities. A member of both the soccer and softball teams, she also sings in the school chorus. Danielle is a natural leader in the classroom and impacts CMS in a very positive way.”

 Morgan Outing, an eighth-grade CMS student was selected as Student of the Month for February by her teachers Mr. Barnes, Mrs. Sleeper, Mrs. Dow, Mr. Barnes and Mr. Fantasia.

“Not only does Morgan excel academically,” stated the CMS teachers, “but she is also a homeroom representative for  the Student Organization, as well as a member of the Developmental Assets Team. She participates in the CMS strings program and is a member of the soccer, basketball, cross-country skiing and softball teams. Morgan is an outstanding leader in the classroom and in school.”
