Caribou’s newest retail store opens tomorrow, March 3, at 57 Sweden Street, adjacent to the Expect More Dollar Store.

Options RTO, located at 57 Sweden Street in Caribou, opening March 3, will share an entrance with the Expect More Dollar Store, the two businesses, with a third said to be re-locating in April, occupy the former Woolworth Department Store site on main street.
Options RTO, with an estimated 1,700 square-feet of showroom space, will share the Sweden Street entrance with the other retailer and shoppers will also be able to peruse both spaces while inside, through an open doorway towards the back of the area. The newest retail space to open in Caribou will be operated by Dave Bell, former owner of Web Impressions.
According to Bell the store will feature brandname computers, televisions, Frigidaire appliances, Homeline furniture and Dreamwell discount mattresses, all which will be available to either purchase outright or with the option to rent to own.
“The rent to own category is one of the fastest growing segments of the retail industry,” stated Bell. “It provides consumers with many flexible payment options including 90-day same as cash and the option to rent an item for either a short period of time or of owning the product at the end of the rental term,” he said. The store will also offer discounted merchandise.
Options RTO will not only offer a full line of home furnishings at competitive prices, including box spring and mattresses, sofas, loveseats, kitchen and dining room tables and chairs but also computer peripherals and parts will also be part of the new retail products available. Bell stated that other product lines will include home and business video surveillance/security products.

Final touches were being completed on Monday, Feb. 28, in the soon-to-be-opened Options RTO retail store adjacent to the Expect More Dollar Store on Sweden Street in Caribou. The new ‘rent-to-own’ business will open on Thursday, March 3.
“I am extremely excited to move to a new larger space and offer clients a greater variety of merchandise,” said Bell. “We will carry some of the top brands in the industry and provide several product lines which have not available in Caribou for several years,” he said.
Bell has provided computer repair (both laptop and desktop) services for more than 20 years and will continue to offer this service at Options RTO. The Caribou native will continue with computer repair as before and will also provide this service on weekends for those who are unable to get their computers to him through the week.
According to Bell, a hair salon is expected to re-locate to the same building in April, completing the renovation of the site that once housed Woolworth’s Department Store prior to being transformed into a mini-mall in the 1980s.
Business hours for Options RTO will be Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
