LIMESTONE – Louis Houlton, 81, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011, with his family at his side at a Caribou Rehabilitation Facility. Louis was born in Presque Isle on May 12, 1929, the son of Mae Mallory Rideout. Louis was raised by his grandmother Minnie Hudson who he cared for later in her life.
Louis is survived by his wife, Laura Houlton, his sons, Kevin Houlton of Oelwein, Iowa, Louis Houlton of Limestone, his daughter, Melissa Houlton of Caribou, and his grandchildren, Kelly, Faith, Hope, Andrew and Tom. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Dustin, Malcolm and Brandon; three nieces, Pearl Fitzgerald of Washubrn, Margaret Little of Bangor, and Rose Houlton of Lyman.
In addition to his mother, Louis was predeceased by his brothers, Pearly Houlton, Chester Doughty, and Earl Rideout.
