Employees of Thompson Hamel LLC,  with Robert Thompson E.A., and John Thompson of Presque Isle  recently chose to support Halfway Home Pet Rescue of Caribou, during the holiday season. Employees donated needed pet supplies to the shelter as well as contributing over $400 to be used toward the shelter’s vet bills. In addition, Brandon Thompson, grandson of Arthur and Marilyn Thompson, donated $50 of his Christmas money to help the animals. From left are: Sharon Watson with Hope, Norma Milton  and Donna and Robyn Smith with Dawn. All of the animals shown have been adopted. Individuals are asked to continue giving returnable bottles to the Bennett Drive Redemption which helps with vet costs along with the collection jars in the local businesses. Milton stated, “We appreciate the kindness of customers at the Caribou Foodtrend for their generous help to this cause.” Milton also reminds everyone to watch for the HHPR cats being fostered at the Tractor Supply Store in Presque Isle. Halfway Home Pet Rescue is a 501c3 organization, a Maine state licensed animal no-kill shelter which works with a volunteer staff. For more information call 492-1722 .
