Cooking with Ms. LaBreck at LCS

The class would like to share their recipe for Haystack cookies:
one cup of butterscotch chips,
one-half cup of peanut butter,
two cups of Chow Mein Noodles.
Under an adult’s supervision, melt butterscotch and peanut butter in the microwave for four minutes, then add noodles the peanut butter and butterscotch chips. Stir well, then drop by tablespoon on to a piece of wax paper. Chill the cookies in a refrigerate for about an hour, then enjoy!

Fourth-graders in Irma LaBreck’s class at the Limestone Community School made Haystack Cookies last week when they were learning measurements and how to read a recipe.
