Danny Ayotte of Augusta, the Commander for the State of Maine American Legion presented membership awards to 100 percent commanders Carl Doughty of Legion Post 27 of Fort Fairfield and Rod Collins of Legion Post 118 of Mars Hill. Assisting Commander Ayotte was Ken Bouchard, second vice commander of the Maine American Legion. Ayotte and Bouchard were in attendance for the 16th District meeting in Fort Fairfield, where Ayotte spoke on the upcoming Legion Day at the Statehouse in Augusta on Tuesday, Jan. 11. Bouchard spoke on the Legion’s annual mid-winter conference to be held in Waterville on Friday, Jan. 14.
