CARIBOU — Gray Memorial United Methodist Church in Caribou will be presenting three special Christmas celebrations: beginning on Sunday Dec. 19.
•Dec. 19: A cantata, “Night of the Father’s Love” by Pepper Choplin. The Senior Choir will be presenting the cantata during the morning’s 10 a.m. service. Everyone is invited to this Christmas Sunday celebration to enjoy all of the mystery, the awe and the excitement that are captured in a Christmas mosaic that combines fragments of the familiar with a unique perspective in word and music. Familiar scripture passages combined with musical styles that range from an energetic Celtic style to a simple folk melody.
•Dec. 22 and 23: A living nativity, members of the church’s congregation will be portraying the Christmas story from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the church.
• Friday 24: Christmas Eve service at the church, featuring a candlelight and communion service. Special children’s time using “adornments” with Pastor Tom. Everyone is welcome to the special holy night.
