Northern Maine Development Commission, Boralex and One Steel are three of eighteen sponsors that support Maine Recycles Week which began on Monday and will conclude on Monday, Nov. 15. During the week, proclaimed by Governor Baldacci, citizens in each community are asked to raise public awareness toward recycling in their communities and to promote the purchase of products made from recycled materials.
The Governor’s proclamation heralded the success of the people of Maine in their efforts to recycle and emphasized the need to increase recycling efforts throughout the state; this is the twelfth year the state has been celebrating recycling efforts through Maine Recycles Week.
