Area kids in grades 2 and 3 were out in full force displaying their costumes during the recent Fall Fun Night event at the Caribou Recreation and Wellness Center. The primary sponsor of the event is the Caribou VFW and Auxiliary. The Caribou Rec staff was assisted throughout the fun-filled evening on Oct. 31 by Loring Job Corps students. Judged to be standouts in different categories are, from left: Hailie Jalbert, first place prettiest costume; Abby St. Peter, runner-up prettiest; Liam martin, first place scariest; Kenna Smith, runner-up scariest; Matthew Smith, runner-up scariest; Taylor Paddleford, first place most original; Matthew Smith, first place scariest costume; Jordan Duplessie, runner-up best costume overall; Victoria Leavitt, first place scariest; Jorja Bugbee, runner-up prettiest; and Oliver Fisher, first place scariest.
Oct. 31st visitors in grades 4-6 were not to be outdone as they turned out in a variety of original and homemade costumes at the Caribou Recreation Center. It takes a lot of staff and volunteers to make a Halloween party a big success.
