Glenna Johnson Smith, 90, of Presque Isle, is celebrating the launch of her first-ever book, “Old Maine Woman: Stories from the Coast to The County.” Many of the essays in the book have previously appeared in Echoes magazine, which Smith has contributed to since the publication debuted in 1988. The book also features some new material, as well as photographs. Smith will sign copies of her book Saturday, Nov. 13 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Mr. Paperback in Caribou. The book is published by Islandport Press of Yarmouth. The softcover book sells for $16.95.
