It was an unexpectedly short and sweet three-generation hunting trip for David Leavitt Sr, Ryan Leavitt, and David Leavitt Jr. in October when 50 minutes into their Oxbow hunt, a 617 pound eight-point bull with a 32.5 inch spread stepped into a hardwood clearing, lined itself up for the shot and patiently stood still while David Jr. took the shot for his son Ryan, who owned the hunting permit. It was a true instance of “tag it, bag it and go.”
