LIMESTONE — On Oct. 13 at approximately 10:35 a.m. Chief Stacey Mahan of the Limestone Police Department responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence on the Grand Falls Road. Chief Mahan gathered evidence from the scene upon his arrival and was able to obtain a description of both the suspect and vehicle used after speaking with the female victim.

Throughout the days after the incident Chief Mahan, Officer Ryan Eagles and Investigator John Deveau spoke to several witnesses and were able to obtain leads in the case. These leads were primarily provided by members of the community that observed suspicious activity and relayed it to the officers.

With this information and other evidence collected on Oct. 20, Investigator Deveau went to the home of 54 year old Jackie Ward, and arrested Ward without incident. Ward was charged with Burglary class B and Theft class C. Ward was later released on $5000 unsecured bail.
