LIMESTONE — Youths of the Limestone United Methodist Church will be canvassing the community, accompanied by adults, on Sunday Oct. 24 collecting funds for the United Nations Emergency Relief Fund for Children, better known as UNICEF.
Toting the iconic small orange boxes, the students will be fund-raising in the early afternoon for the cause.
“This has been an outreach of the church for almost as many years as UNICEF has been in existence,” explained church Pastor Ellen Cleaves.
“We encourage residents this year to welcome the UNICEF trick-or-treaters and donate as able,” Cleaves added.
UNICEF youths will be identifiable by their UNICEF boxes and UNICEF tags.
