CARIBOU — Catholic Charities Maine Home Supplies and Food Bank announced on Oct. 7 that it has re-hired Morgan January to serve as an AmeriCorps volunteer. January will work within the Aroostook County community to expand upon and grow Catholic Charities Maine volunteer programming.

January was hired in partnership with the Community Resource Corps (CRC), a program of Goodwill Industries of northern New England. The CRC AmeriCorps program is funded through the Maine Commission for Community Service.

Specifically, January will facilitate community outreach about home supplies and food bank in Aroostook County, provide nutrition and physical education programs for the community, implement and improve the volunteer management system.

Catholic Charities Maine Home Supplies and Food Bank is a project that offers home supplies, furniture, appliances and some materials at a fraction of their original cost. All proceeds go toward running the food bank, which serves 24 food pantries from St. Francis to Sherman. Additional information can be obtained by visiting www.ccmaine.org.
