Nadine June Longley (nee Hitchcock) died on September 2, 2010. She was 70 years old and died of natural causes in her own home in Gardiner, Maine.
Nadine was born in Caribou, Maine on September 22, 1939. Her mother was Mildred Ruby Hitchcock (nee Nichols) and her father was Richard Samuel Hitchcock. She was married to Gerald Clifford Longley on February 24, 1958, who died on October 4, 2008.
Nadine graduated Caribou High School June 1957 and was a graduate of the University of Maine in May of 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in business, at 46 years old! She was the mother of four children and grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of one.
Nadine is survived by her sister, Vivian Regina Long (and nephews, David and Robert Long) of Caribou, Maine and Nadine’s four children, Martha Lee Haggerty, 51, and her husband, Donald and four children (Madison, Wisconsin), Clifford Scott Longley, 49, his wife, Linda and his three children and one grandchild (Westminster, Maryland), Christopher Samuel Longley, 47, (LaCrosse, Wisconsin) and Galen Gilbert Longley, 41, (Sacramento, California).
