CARIBOU – One hundred forty eight youth gathered at the Caribou High School track Monday for the annual Viking Run.
The event, sponsored by Aroostook Federal Savings and Loan, featured six separate races: a quarter-mile race for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten-age girls, a quarter-mile race for pre-K and K boys, a half-mile race for first- and second-graders, a half-mile race for third- and fourth-graders, a mile race for fifth- and sixth-graders and a mile race for seventh- and eighth-graders.

Everybody participating received a T-shirt and a ribbon, and the top-three girls and boys in each age division received trophies. Those winners are as follows:
Pre-K and K girls: first, Saffayia Durepo, 1:57; second, Madelynn Deprey, 2:18; and third, Iva Ripoelle, 2:31.
Pre-K and K boys: first, Dawson Whitten, 2:06; second, Jonathan Staples, 2:11; and third, Elliot Sleeper, 2:13.
Grades 1-2 girls: first, Eva Callioras, 4:03; second, Anna Thibodeau, 4:30; and third, Marienna St. Peter, 4:42; grades 1-2 boys: first, Sawyer Deprey, 3:43; second, Carter Quist, 3:48; and third, Ari Plante, 3:54.

Grades 3-4 girls: first, Kassandra Krul, 3:19; second, Kaylyn Krul, 3:44; and third, Teagan Ewings, 3:55; grades 3-4 boys: first, Alex Ezzy, 3:16; second, Alex Bouchard, 3:29; and third, Parker Deprey, 3:33.
Grades 5-6 girls: first, Emma Belyea, 7:28; second, Madeline Gudde, 7:30; and third, Simone Michaud, 7:39; grades 5-6 boys: first, Luke Bailey, 6:07; second, Josiah Krul, 6:32; and third, Evan Desmond, 6:42.
Grades 7-8 girls: first, Sarah Doak, 6:31; second, Kristin Macek, 6:47; and third, Erin Patton, 6:04; grades 7-8 boys: first, Andrew Bailey, 5:46; second, Taylor Thibodeau, 5:55; and third, Kamran Husain, 6:08.
