The Caribou Middle School soccer team lost a pair of tough games this past week, falling to Fort Kent 6-2 Monday, Aug. 23 and losing to Presque Isle White 1-0 Friday.

Caribou’s Dayne Savage banged home both of Caribou’s goals. Taylor Thibodeau and Mason Huck played well defensively for the Vikes, while Riley McDuffie and Gabe Massey played well on the offensive side of the field.

Fort Kent’s Brandon Theriault got the three-goal hat trick to lead the Warriors offensively.

On Friday, the Vikings where shutout by Presque Isle as Alex Michaud scored the lone goal of the game by putting in a rebound from a post shot with eight minutes remaining.

Both teams played good defense in the high intensity contest. Caribou was led on the offensive end by good passing from Brendan Cyr, Donovan Savage, Ben Ezzy and Mitch St. Peter.

Defensive stalwarts were Austin Griffeth, Dustin Bouchard, goalie Ethan Plourde, Taylor Thibodeau,  Nick Frost and Greg Martin.
