The Caribou Co-ed Softball League ended its 2010 season Aug. 5, with Jade Palace defeating Caro Carpentry in the championship game.
In the championship game, Jade Palace jumped out on top with four quick runs in the top of the first inning, scored by Jordan Haines, Cameron Anderson, Kellie Peers and Jon Codrey. Caro Carpentry came back in the bottom of the inning as Steve Melborne, Mike Caro and Tony Garrens all scored to make it 4-3.
Two innings later, Jade Palace batted through the order and tallied six runs to add to their lead at 10-4. Caro Carpentry scored times the rest of the way, but fell short by an 11-7 final. Twelve teams competed in the league.
