Professional Home Nursing, whose main office is in Caribou, provides skilled nursing homecare to clients throughout Aroostook County through the services of registered nurses, physical and occupational therapist, speech therapist and medical social workers.

In business for 15 years, the Professional Home Nursing Agency was founded (owned) by two local nurses, Katherine Anderson of Caribou and Darlene Foster of Fort Fairfield.
The agency which provides skilled care in the home setting is fully staffed with nurses and therapists and prides itself on prompt intervention, quality of care and customer satisfaction. A recipient of the Caribou Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Business of the Year Award, Professional Home Nursing has also been recognized nationally, in the last three consecutive years, as a Top 500 provider out of more than 8,500 agencies for quality of care.
“We pride ourselves in having a strong work ethic and developing and maintaining a solid reputation for providing quality care,” stated Anderson. “Our employees are often requested by name when individuals in our community need skilled homecare. Most of our employees have been with us for more than 10 years and continuity in health care is vital.”
“Excellent customer service is essential in healthcare,” stated Anderson, “and particularly when the service is provided in an individual’s home. We have always maintained the philosophy that ‘we are a guest in their home’ and we should care for them ‘as we would our own family.’”
