Members of the Caribou Parks and Recreation Department’s CRX program climbed Mt. Katahdin last Wednesday, Aug. 4. The trip included a two-night stay in Baxter State Park. The entire group of 11 completed the hike in about 10 hours. They hiked up the Abol Trail and descended on the Hunt Trail, also known as the Appalachian Trail.
