Coming together to put on a spectacular classical music performance during the July 18th Summer Musical Opus VII at the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church were, from left, Doris Jeffery, Margaret Cyr, Stephen Gant, Melanie Burns, Madeline Burns, Harrison Roper and Dori Smith.
Every year, Gray’s Memorial provides the public with an opportunity to enjoy live classical music that the best musicians from the area and across the state have to offer. This year’s program offered a variety of classical musical stylings from Beethoven to Schubert with a little Rodgers and Hammerstein to shake things up a bit.
After the well-attended concert, spectators were offered refreshments and a unique opportunity to speak with the musicians.
For those who may have missed this year’s performance, mark your 2011 calendars because the annual Opus is traditionally held the third weekend in July.
Performers for this year’s Opus included Madeline and Melanie Burns, Margaret Cyr, Stephen Gant, Doris Jeffery, Harrison Roper and Dori Smith.
