Coaches needed
Presque Isle Youth Hockey is looking for adults interested in coaching or helping out with its six levels of youth hockey teams.

Golf team meeting
A meet the coaches/sign-up meeting for students in grades 9-12 interested in playing on the Caribou High School golf team this fall will be held tonight, Aug. 4. The meeting will take place in the CHS ski lodge from 6-6:30 p.m. Any student, male or female, wishing to play should attend.
Clinic slated for officiating soccer
The Northern Maine Board of Approved Soccer Officials will conduct a clinic for prospective soccer officials in the ski building at the Caribou High School athletic complex.
Bob Stedt, interpreter for the NMBASO, will be the clinician. The clinic will take place Saturday, Aug. 7 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Any person 18 years of age or older who is interested in officiating the game of soccer this fall on the middle school and junior varsity level in Aroostook County is urged to attend.
There is a fee of $35 and pre-registration is recommended.

AVCC to hold final junior-adult night
Aroostook Valley Country Club in Fort Fairfield will host its final junior-adult golf night Aug. 5.
This is a nine-hole event with a meal and prizes to follow. Any golfer 18 years of age and younger is considered a junior golfer and therefore is eligible to play. The cost is $10 for juniors and $12 for adult members and $23 for adult non-members.

Alumni games
Caribou High School women’s and men’s alumni soccer games will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 10 on the upper field at CHS.
The women’s game will start at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game will at 7 p.m. All Caribou High School soccer alumni are invited to participate. Please contact boys varsity coach Mark Shea at 227-7465 or girls varsity coach Todd Albert (227-0227) for more information.
Musterds scholarship
The Aroostook Musterds Running Club will award a $500 scholarship to a student entering college who plans to continue his or her running career at the collegiate level.

Golf tourney to benefit Shaw scholarship
The Allan R. Shaw Memorial Tournament, which features a scramble format with male, female or mixed teams, will be held Saturday, Aug. 21 at the Aroostook Valley Country Club in Fort Fairfield.
The event begins with registration at 10:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at noon. Prizes will be awarded for the winning team, the longest drive, closest to the pin (male and female) and hole in one.
The event will be followed by a 5 p.m. social hour and dinner in the AVCC clubhouse. The $50 entry fee includes golf, cart and dinner.
All donations are tax deductible and will benefit the Allan R. Shaw Memorial Foundation scholarship fund.
