CARIBOU – Lewis W. Belanger, 47, died, July 18, 2010, at Caribou, following a long illness. He was born at Fort Fairfield, February 13, 1963, the son of Joseph and Julia (Ambrose) Belanger. He was a graduate of the Presque Isle high school and also from the Northern Maine Community College. He loved camping at the Aroostook State Park and loved to tinker on small electrical machines. Lewis was a very loving, caring and compassionate person. He married Nola (Cray) Belanger on March 30, 1992.
Surviving in addition to his wife of Caribou and his mother of Presque Isle are one son, Joshua Belanger of Lincoln; three daughters, Jessica Belanger of Lincoln, Melissa Cray of Arizona and Amanda Belanger of Caribou; two brothers, Alvin Belanger and his fiancé, Jane Gagnon of Presque Isle and Wilmer Belanger and his wife, Paula of Caribou; two sisters, Peggy Gilmer and her husband, Terry of Presque Isle and Kathy Belanger and Jim Ayotte of Presque Isle; a grandson, Wyatt Belanger of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles from Maine to Alaska.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, Thursday, July 22, 2010, from 11 a.m. until time of services, which will be held 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Very Rev.
