MPG relaunches company website

PRESQUE ISLE – MPG is pleased to announce the launch of a brand new customer-focused, interactive website created as a working tool and key industry source of information for customers and stakeholders.     The site, www.mpgco-op.com, is designed to provide real-time agricultural and consumer information to its users, and to be a quick and easy means for learning about MPG products, services and people, and industry information.
“At MPG, our vision is to be the first choice of everyone within the communities we serve and, with this in mind, we have tailored features to our site, such as weather, markets, product and manufacturer links that offer key decision-making information,” said Pierre Patenaude, Maine Potato Growers, Inc. president and chief executive officer. “In order to fulfill our vision, we always want to offer new products and services that will earn business and bring better value to our customers. Good examples of this are the site-to-store ordering capabilities for MPG’s ACE Hardware store, and easy access to FarmPlan for MPG customers to securely manage their accounts online.
“Just as the people of MPG have earned the reputation of trustworthy advice and service, MPG has partnered our website with DTN, a trusted source of agricultural news and markets information, for real time information and pricing feeds that are relevant to our customers,” he said. “We have found that for business in our industry, oftentimes it is necessary to go to three or more different websites to obtain information ranging from oil prices, currency rates, commodity futures pricing, to the weather. We have consolidated this information onto our site to save browsers time and provide streaming pricing, markets, news and weather information.”
With a rich heritage of market innovation and industry development behind them, MPG officials hope computer users will find the new site useful and let them know how they can improve it to meet their changing needs.
