Image    SINCLAIR and CARIBOU -Richard Boucher, 74, of Sinclair, passed away after a very long illness on June 13 at a Caribou Healthcare facility.     He was born Dec. 02, 1935, in Sinclair, the son of Arthur J. and Aurore (Albert) Boucher.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Claudette (Chasse) Boucher of over 50 years of marriage; one son, Steve Boucher of Caribou; two very special grandchildren, Jenna and Kyle Boucher of Caribou; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edmund and Rene Boucher; two sisters, Jeanne Levesque and Anna Hamel.
He met Claudette in 1958 and they married on July 11, 1959. She pursued him to go to school and get to learn a trade which he did. He took classes in the electrical trade at the Goodwin Tech School in New Britain, Conn. and furthered his electrical trade education at the Albert I. Prince Advanced Tech School in Hartford, Conn. where he received his Master License in the Electrical Industrial field in 1963.     He worked for various contractors before he joined the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). In the fall of 1971, he moved to Caribou, Maine, and worked for electrical contractors. In 1977, he started working at Loring Air Force Base. Over the years, he became the base chief master electrician of the flight line and he worked there until the base closure. He then joined again IBEW and worked for them until his retirement in 1999.
In 1964, he became a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus of the Bishop Daly Golden Jubilee Council #12 and then transferred his membership, when he moved to Caribou, to the K of C Fred Brescia Council #1870. In 2005, he transferred his membership to St. Agatha, Frenchville and Sinclair to the Rev. Charles Sweron Council #7920. He also belonged to the Caribou Hoofers Square Dance Club until he moved to Sinclair in 1992, the Sinclair Senior Citizens Club and the St. Agatha ATV Club.
He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.       Summertime, you would find him by a brook or by the shores of a beaver dam fishing for the native trout whom he loved to eat so much. He very seldom came home without his limit of trout. He also ice fished and loved to hunt as well. But most of all, in his later years, he really enjoyed riding his ATV, especially when he would see wild life on the trails.
Richard’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of the Caribou Rehab & Nursing Home for their compassion, dedication and loving care of him for the three and half years he lived there.
