Evan and Edgar are now living at a Halfway Home Pet Rescue foster home after being abandoned under a tree in a Frenchville backyard when they were only about 17 days old. “Fortunately, the owner brought them to us when she heard them crying that evening,” said HHRP President Norma Milton. The brothers, currently almost 4 weeks old, are still being syringe fed and manually helped to eliminate. They will be available for adoption in about another 4 weeks. Milton reported that there were nine HHPR cats and kittens adopted in this past week who all went to wonderful homes. “The Free Pet Food Pantry has seen a resupply of food items and our City Wide Yard Sale yielded an additional $160 to our medical bills along with $255 in donation and $120 in adoption fees,” Milton said. “This enabled us to meet our financial obligations. Thank you for helping us in whatever way you were able.” Information about the HHPR can be found at www.halfwayhomepetrescue.org, at petfinder.com or by call 492-1722. “We thank you for being our friend,” Milton said.
