    The Caribou Little League season began Thursday. Summaries of games played through May 17 follow:
Knights of Columbus 31, Woodland Tigers 1
    The Knights of Columbus used a 20-run second inning to down the Tigers May 13.     Connor Plourde had three singles, Brian Corbin a triple and two singles, Ricky Sheldon a triple, a double and a single; Jillian Flynn a double and a single, Devin Martin a double and a single, Gabe Rand two singles and Kyle McCullough a double and a single to pace K of C at the plate.
    Mollie Cummings had a double for the Tigers’ only hit.
Key Bank 10, North Stars 5
    In Stockholm on May 14, Nick Frost of Key Bank threw four innings of hitless baseball and combined with Austin Scott for the victory in a game called after five innings due to darkness.
    Frost struck out 10 batters before giving way to Scott in the fifth. Nick Pelletier made an outstanding defensive play at second base to keep the North Stars without a hit through the first four innings.
    Frost also had an outstanding game at the plate by going 3 for 3 with two triples, five RBIs.  Paul Hanson had the only other base hit for Key and also had an RBI.
    Gunnar Bondeson, Kevin Bither and Noah Hixon combined to pitch for the North Stars. Austin Findlen had a bases-loaded double in the fifth inning for the North Stars. 
S.W. Collins 19, Knights of Columbus 7
    S.W. Collins took on a solid Knights of Columbus squad on May 15, with Gabe Massey striking out seven batters in 4-2/3 innings of work to gain the win on the mound for Collins.
    Taylor Miller went the final 1-1/3 innings for the winners.
    Massey reached base on walks five times and scored everytime. Zach Wright went 3 for 5, scored two runs and drove in three, while Donovan Savage went 3 for 5 with three runs scored.  
    The Knights’ Connor Plourde went 3 for 3 on the day with one run and 2 RBIs while first baseman Ricky Sheldon went 2 for 4 with a run scored.
Savings Bank of Maine 10, Police 6
    A four-run first inning and a five-run fourth were the key rallies as Savings Bank of Maine defeated the Police May 17.
    Jacob Burby had two triples and Brayden Burby had three hits for the winners. Sebastian Marquis contributed a pair of hits. Caleb Willette struck out nine for the pitching win.
    Rachael Soucy made a fine catch in the outfield for Police to squelch a rally. Reece McDougal and Dylan LaMothe combined for the pitching duties for Police.
