Griffeth Ford has captured yet another Caribou Men’s Basketball League title.
The team went 14-4 during the regular season and then dominated in the playoffs, beating Jeremiah Fitzherbert’s team 65-46 in the championship game held last month. Mike Eaton scored 13 points and Ghent Holdsworth added 12 to lead the Griffeth Ford offense.
Defensively, Neal Griffeth, Joel Griffeth and Bill Schofield pounded the boards and accounted for numerous steals in the contest.
Joining Eaton and Holdsworth in the scoring column were Schofield with four, Shawn Manter with six, Joel Griffeth with seven, Greg Collins with four, Neal Griffeth with nine, Gary Hebert with two and Bobby Russell with eight.
For Fitzherbert’s team, Jeremiah Fitzherbert and Brett Miles paced the attack with 11 points each.
Dustin Haines netted 10, while Mike Sandoval followed with eight. Jordan Haines tossed in five and Spencer King notched one.
