Caribou Mayor Kenneth Murchison recently visited staff and toured the clinical laboratory at Cary Medical Center. The mayor also signed a proclamation designating April 18 — 24 as Medical Laboratory Professionals Week in Caribou, to salute and celebrate the women and men whose work in the lab is crucial to diagnosing disease and guiding treatments. Laboratory professionals are key members of today’s healthcare team performing tests, interpreting results and providing answers for a complete picture of a patient’s health.
