Holocaust speaker at CHS on April 15

    Kenneth Atcheson, faculty member of the Caribou High School Social Studies Department reminds interested individuals of the presentation by Max Slabotzy, a survivor of the Holocaust from Ixelles, Belgium, which will take place on Thursday, April 15, at the Caribou Performing Arts Center beginning at 10 a.m.     Atcheson stated that Mr. Slabotzy will speak about his capture, imprisonment at the Auschwitz Death Camp, the Brobeck and Goleszow Labor Camps and his liberation by elements of the Soviet Army.
    A second guest speaker, Charles Rotmil will also speak in the school library at 11 a.m. Mr. Rotmil, who was a child when his mother was killed in a train wreck caused by an attack of the Nazi Luftwaffe, was hidden and saved from death by a Roman Catholic priest.  
    This event is open to the public and will feature an opportunity to pose questions to Mr. Slabotzy. Seating is limited.
