“As the season progressed, we became more and more competitive,” said coach Brad Holabird. “By the end of the season, if everyone contributed in some way, we were very tough and usually were in the mix of things by the end of the game – giving our team a chance to win.”
Holabird said the team’s theme throughout the season was to put together the best 32 minutes of basketball we could as a team, and not taking any time off.
“A difficult part of the game for us was setting a tempo, in particular, either at the beginning of the game or coming out of halftime,” he added. “If we set the tempo we wanted at those times, we usually put ourselves in a place to give us a chance to pull off a win.
“At this level, getting players ready to play is half the battle and when that happens, the game comes a little easier to us as a team.”
The team most valuable player was Cole Sirois, who also served as team captain. The most improved player was Nick Pucci. Other team members included Grant Bennett, Devin Berkoski, Cody Carmichael, Kaleb Corriveau, Taylor Dobson, Zac Gorence, Nick Matlock, David Pelkey and manager Jake Atcheson.
