The annual Big East Senior All-Star girls and boys basketball games were played March 6 at Hermon High School, with the Caribou and Presque Isle teams well represented.
Competing on the girls’ Blue team were Wildcat players Elizabeth Kofstad and Haley Johnston, with Jeff Hudson of PI serving as the coach.

Caribou’s Cameron Anderson was selected as a first-team all-conference player in the Big East this past season. He was also selected to play in the Big East Senior All-Star game, held March 6 at Hermon High School.
Representing Caribou on the White team were Brittany Doak and Danielle Soucy.
The boys’ White team included Viking players Cameron Anderson and Chris Nadeau and Wildcat players Nate Ackerson, Dillon Kingsbury and Ethan Braley. Tim Prescott served as the team’s coach.
Other senior all-stars were, on the girls side, Jordan Myerowitz, Kristy Moriarty, Mandy Martin, Tori Mason, all of John Bapst; Brooke Hanscom and Jessica Fortin, both of Mattanawcook; Amy Cossar of Old Town, Kara Churchill of Bucksport; Sarah Stanley and Marissa Johnson, both of Ellsworth; Danielle Ross of Hermon; and Sara Carroll, Jessica Swanson and Mackenzie Curtis, all of MDI. Brent Barker of MDI served as the coach of the White squad.
Making up the remainder of the boys’ rosters were Brandon Flegel and Cody Farrell, both of Bucksport; Ryan Petros, Brad Folmer and Ross Saunders, all of Ellsworth; Colton Gross of Hermon; Lance Bernier and Wayne Campbell, both of Mattanawcook; Connor Records and Travis Norwood, both of MDI; Shane Hass and Ryan Carr, both of John Bapst; and Luke Bartlett, Bronson Merry and Josh Boucher, all of Old Town.
Between games, a variety of Big East Conference awards were handed out.
