Ten contestants: three crowns

    Ten young ladies will be center stage at the Caribou Performing Arts Center on Sunday, March 21, as they compete for the titles of Pre-teen Miss Caribou, Jr. Miss Caribou and Miss Teen Caribou. The 7 p.m. combined pageant will feature the theme, “Red Carpet Magic,” and contestants will compete in categories that include physical fitness, talent and gown.

    The evening will open with a dance number featuring all contestants and reigning queens: Emma Duplissie Cyr, 2009 Jr. Miss Caribou; and Brianna Gorence, 2009 Miss Teen Caribou.
    Vying for the Miss Pre-Teen Caribou 2010 crown are: Kyleigh Emma DeMerchant, who will perform a vocal presentation for her talent. Kyleigh is the daughter of Kent and Lori DeMerchant; Samantha Irene Fortin, the daughter of Robert and Robin Fortin, will offer a baton twirling routine for her talent selection; Alexis Guillemette, the daughter of Patti Romano and Ron Guillemette, Jr. will perform a monologue during the talent portion of the pageant; and Krista Rose Michaud, the daughter of Tina and Danny Michaud will present a dance.   
    Contestants seeking the 2010 Jr. Miss Caribou title are: Monica Rae Alley, the daughter of Eric and Roxann Alley, who will present a violin number; Mallory E. Patterson, the daughter of Kimberly and Steven Patterson, will perform a dance as her talent selection; Victoria Keaton will provide a vocal selection for her talent, she is the daughter of Michael and Susan Keaton; and Melanie Biggs, the daughter of Tammy and John Rines will perform a hip-hop dance.
    Competing for the Miss Teen Caribou 2010 honor are: Hannah Hebert, the daughter of Gary and Jola Hebert, who will perform a dance on pointe; and Ashley C. Ouellette, the daughter of Luke and Christine Ouellette, who will be presenting a vocal selection for her talent.
    Special entertainment during the evening will be provided by Emma Duplissie Cyr, Jr. Miss Caribou 2009; Regan Buck, the reigning Jr. Maine Potato Queen; and Miss Teen Caribou 2009, Brianna Gorence.
    Admission to the 2010  Miss Pre-Teen, Jr. Miss and Miss Teen Caribou is $6 per person. Tickets may be purchased from any of the contestants or at the door on Sunday evening.
