CARIBOU — The Northern Maine Development Commission (NMDC), in partnership with Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments. Kennebec Valley Council of Governments and Eastern Maine Development Corporation (EMDC), has received a $250,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration. These funds will be used to prepare a comprehensive risk mitigation and disaster recovery plan that can be used by all businesses throughout the state of Maine. Business owners/managers will be receiving a letter request within the next week to complete an on-line survey. The survey results will help determine the type of training and resources business owners will require before during and after experiencing a disaster. This survey can be accessed at www/surveymonkey.com/s2YRKLQN or at any of the following websites: www.nmdc.org; www.avcog.org;www.emdc.org; or www.kvcog.org.
