Officials with the Greater Limestone Chamber of Commerce are currently seeking 2009 Citizen of the Year nominations. This award is presented each year to a resident (or non-resident) who has volunteered in the Greater Limestone area. The Citizen of the Year is selected from individuals who have gone above and beyond in the community whether their good deeds or achievements were accomplished in 2009 or in past years. There are many well deserving individuals in the Limestone community who would qualify for this recognition.
The deadline for applications is March 25. Nomination letters should be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked, “Citizen of the Year Nomination and mailed to Greater Limestone Chamber of Commerce, C/O Citizen of the Year Committee, 93 Main Street, Limestone, Me.04750.
